Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and thin heat-resistant fabric for fire fightining enhanced in flameproof properties and touch and suitable for fire clothing.
SOLUTION: A synthetic rubber layer 12 is formed on the surface of a base fabric and the heat reflecting layer 13 bonded to the surface of the synthetic rubber layer 12 is formed by applying corona discharge treatment to the rear surface 14a of a tetrafluoroethylene copolymer film to form a vacuum deposition film 16 of aluminum or the like on the treated surface through a primer coat layer 15 and forming an adhesive layer 17 to the vapor deposition film 16 so as to bond the film 16 to the surface of the synthetic rubber layer 12. By this constitution, the heat-resistant fabric for fire fighting good in the heat reflecting function of the heat reflecting layer 13 and enhanced in lightweight properites, thinnes and flexiblity is obtained.
