To obtain flame retardant, heat-resistant and voltage enduring protective clothes excellent in electrical insulating properties and useful for maintenance and inspecting operations, etc., of power distribution equipment, etc., handling a high voltage by providing the protective clothes with a specific front fabric, a specified interlayer fabric and a specific back fabric.
The heat-resistant and voltage enduring protective clothes comprise a hood, an upper garment 12 and gloves and further a part except the face of the protective clothes comprising a front fabric 14 composed of electrically insulating inorganic fibers in which microgaps are filled with a silicone resin such as glass fibers, a heat-resistant interlayer fabric 15 composed of fibrous materials and aramid fibers, polybenzimidazole fibers, etc., and a back fabric 16 capable of preventing fraying of the fibrous materials. A lapped part where left and right body parts 22 and 23 of the upper garment 12 are mutually lapped is preferably formed by providing one end with a double structure and preferably used by inserting the other end into the part of the double structure.
