To provide a heat shielding method of drying furnace window part capable of stabilizing a conveying attitude of an electrode foil while properly blocking heat transfer between the inside and outside of a drying furnace.
A heat shielding method of drying furnace window part is a method of blocking heat transfer between the inside and outside of a drying furnace 60 when a belt-like electrode foil 2 on which coating liquid is applied is continuously conveyed from the inlet window part 61a of the drying furnace 60 toward the outlet window part 62a of the drying furnace 60, and the coating liquid is dried inside the drying furnace 60. In this method, a pressure inside the drying furnace 60 is set to be lower than a pressure outside the drying furnace (clean chamber CL). For the electrode foil 2 being conveyed outside the inlet window part 61a toward the drying furnace, air jetting devices 110 and 120 are arranged, apart from each other, for interposing the electrode foil 2 by a pair of upper and lower ones. The pair of air jetting devices 110 and 120 form equivalent laminar air streams SM, which flow along, while contacting to, both upper and lower surfaces of the electrode foil 2 that is conveyed while flowing in a direction coming away from the inlet window part 61a.
