Title:
HEAT SHIELDING STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3025611
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a heat shielding structure for shielding satisfactorily heat by reducing the transfer of air in an air layer constituting a heat shielding layer during the operation of an engine as possible as small.
CONSTITUTION: A heat shielding layer 32 formed of an air layer between the center tube 31 of a fuel injection nozzle 3 and a heat shielding tube 33 on the outer surface is provided, and a carbon catcing body 321 is provided in a portion of the heat shielding layer in contact with a combustion chamber. The carbon catching body in contact with combustion gas deposits carbon thereon to be clogged therewith and intercept the communication between the heat shielding layer 32 and combustion chamber so that the heat shielding layer 32 is isolated and air therein gets stationary to improve the heat shielding effect.
