To obtain a heat-shrinkable film excellent in low-temp. shrinkability by forming an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having specified physical properties into a film and stretching it monoaxially.
100 pts.wt. of the ethylene-α-olefin copolymer produced in the presence of a single-site catalyst and having a density of 0.880-0.940 g/cm3, an MFR2.16 (190°C, 2.16 kg load) of 0.1-200 g/10 min, a ratio of MFR10.0 (190°C, 10 kg load)/MFR2.16 of 10-20, and a mol.wt. distribution (Mw/Mn) of 2.0-4.0 is compounded with up to 30 pts.wt. of a high-pressure low-density polyethylene, 0.05-1 pt.wt. of an antiblocking agent, and 0.05-0.5 pt.wt. of a slip agent, then formed into a film, and stretched 2-8 times at temperatures of 50-100°C monoaxially in the direction transverse to the direction of winding up, thus giving a heat-shrinkable film having a heat shrinkability in the stretching direction of 8% or higher, pref. 10% or higher, at 70°C, 15% or higher, pref. 20% or higher, at 80°C, and 30% or higher, pref. 35% or higher, at 90°C.
