Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat storage material capable of eliminating the need for thermometer and also of simplifying the structure of a heat storage device by adding a substance showing a reversibly color-changing thermochromism according to the change in temperatures to a heat storage material.
CONSTITUTION: One of substances showing a thermochromism, e.g., HgI2, Ag2HgI4, and Cu2HgI4, is added to a heat storage material. Also, for detecting a plurality of temperatures, plural kinds of the substances are added to the heat storage material. Thus, by observing the change in the colors of the heat storage material, whether the heat storage material is in heat-storing state or in heat-radiating state can be detected.
