Abstract:
To provide a heat storage method that is advantageous for increasing a heat storage amount.SOLUTION: The heat storage method comprises: storing heat by applying heat to a heat storage material (10) including an adsorbent (11) having a surface on which an adsorption site including a hydroxy group is distributed and an adsorbate (12) and desorbing the adsorbate (12) from the adsorption site; and discharging heat generated by adsorbing the adsorbate (12) on the adsorption site to the outside of the adsorbent (11). In the adsorbent (11), the hydroxy group is directly bonded to a skeleton including a silicon atom or bonded to one carbon atom or a terminal of a linear carbon chain interposed between the hydroxy group and the skeleton. The adsorbate (12) is a base having a base dissociation constant of less than 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
