This heat storage type heat exchanger 1 includes a rotary heat storage container 2 having the substantially cylindrical shape as a while, and a pair of fixing sections 10a, 10b for air supply/exhaust, disposed at both end portions in the axial direction of the container 2, the rotary heat storage container 2 includes partitioning walls 4 for partitioning the inside of the container into a plurality of air flow channels 9a-9j along the axial direction, and a plurality of opening sections 8 formed on an outer wall surface 3 at positions opposite to the fixing sections 10a, 10b by each air flow channels 9a-9j, the fixing sections 10a, 10b have insert ports 12a, 12b for rotatably inserting both end portions of the rotary heat storage container 2, and air supply sections 14a, 15a, and exhaust sections 14b, 15b communicated with the insert ports 12a, 12b, the air supply sections 14a, 15a and the exhaust sections 14b, 15b are divided by both end portions of the rotary heat storage container 2 inserted into the fixing sections 10a, 10b, and communicated with the opening sections 8 of the inserted rotary heat storage container 2.
