Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suppress the increase in the thickness of the membrane of the liquid flowing within the titled syphon even in a case where the length of the condensing part becomes long to maintain an excellent heat conveying function by providing a downward inclined branch way from the inner surface of the condensing part of the vessel toward the inner side thereof so that at least a part of a condensed heat medium falls downward along the branch way, in the heat syphon in which the heat medium is evaporated by the heating thereof at the lower part of the vessel and rises up within the vessel, and is condensed by the cooling thereof at the upper part of the vessel.

CONSTITUTION: The heat medium 2 condensed at the flat part on the inner surface of an inner pipe 3 inserted in the inner surface of the condensing part A of the container 1, falls downward along the flat part while increasing the thickness of the liquid membrane. During this time, when the heat medium 2 reaches the bottom portions of projections 3a..., a part of the liquid flows along the projections 3a. When the liquid reaches the pointed end of the projection 3a, the liquid drops downward naturally. That is, since by the quantity of the liquid naturally dropping, the quantity of the liquid falling downward along the inner surfaces of the container 1 and the inner pipe 3 is decreased, the liquid membrane is thinned, and the increase in the thickness of the liquid membrane is suppressed.
