Title:
HEAT TRANSFER DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62278038
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a clearly transferred character, pattern or figure with stable adhesive strength of a transfer foil, by placing a resilient member between a metallic etching member and a base member.

CONSTITUTION: A hot stamp 1 comprises a base member 2, a metallic etching member 3 and a resilient member 4. The metallic etching member 3 having coil projections 5 in rectangular cross-sections set on the outer face thereof is arranged through a uniform pressure resilient member 4 composed of silicon rubber, for example, on the outer circumferential face of the base member 2. The rotation of the base member 2 causes motion of the etching member 3 while pressing a transfer foil 9 against the transfer face. Here, slight deformation of unevenness of a container 6 to be transferred are absorbed by an allowable flexure of the etching member 3 metal. In case of a very uneven container where there is a step, a cutting 10 is provided so that the resilient member 4 expands/shrinks independently for every coil projection 5 according to the profile of the container 6 to be transferred, thereby each coil projection 5 can contact securely and uniformly on a face to be transferred. Consequently, the peeling layer of the transfer foil 9 is peeled off together with a heatsensitive adhesive layer to the side of said container 6 along a moving locus of the coil projection 5, thus completing the transfer.
