Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled medium capable of preventing forgery of such recorded materials as checks or postal stamps, by applying to a heat-resistant substrate a composition comprising a heat-fusible ink layer consisting mainly of colorant, waxes and binder and fluorescent substance.

CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 2W20wt% of a colorant made up of dye and/or pigment (e.g., Victoria Blue lake) in the ink layer, (B) 40W 80wt% of waxes, (C) 1W15wt% of a binder, (D) 1W15wt% of a softening agent, and (E) 0.2W2 times the amount, based on the component (A), of a fluorescent substance (e.g., polymethacrylic ester solid solution) is melted on heating followed by applying to a heat-resistant substrate to obtain the objective recording medium.
