Abstract:
To provide a heat treatment apparatus by which the contamination and deterioration of a heat drum are prevented even if sheets to be heat treated are heat treated in a large amount and a method of cleaning the heat treatment apparatus.
The heat treatment apparatus has the heat drum and a plurality of counter rolls arranged to face the heat drum within a housing, holds the sheets to be heated treated between the heat drum and a plurality of the counter drums and heat treats the sheets to be heated treated while holding the sheets on the outer peripheral surface of the heat drum, in which the outer peripheral surface of the heat drum is a layer containing a compound giving rise to a photocatalyst reaction.
