Title:
HEAT TREATMENT METHOD OF FE-AL BASE SOFT MAGNETIC MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3220828
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a corrosion resistant film having Al as the main component without lowering magnetic characteristic in an Fe-Al base soft magnetic material.
CONSTITUTION: A material to be treated is dipped into a compounding agent prepared by adding suitable quantity of ammonium chloride to Fe-Al base alloy powder and heated at 900-1000°C for few min-1hr to form an Al diffused layer on the surface layer. Successively, this material to be treated is heated at 950-1150°C for about 1hr in a condition of raising the dew point in a gaseous hydrogen atmosphere and then slowly cooled. By this heat treatment, the magnetizing annealing for the material to be treated is executed and, at the same time, Al diffused in the Al diffused layer on the surface layer, is oxidized to form the oxide film contg. Al as the main component. As Al in the material to be treated is not spent to the development of the oxide film, but pre-diffused Al is spent for the development of the oxide film, the oxide film having high Al component concn. is formed without lowering the original magnetic characteristic of the Fe-Al base soft magnetic material.
