Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment oven which prevents weld cracking, cracking, and the like of a sheet-metal weld zone in the oven due to a rapid thermal shrinkage caused by cooling in a high-temperature range, achieving a long service life and which eliminates the heat loss due to a cooler during heat treatment, saving electric power consumption.
SOLUTION: In the heat treatment oven, a bypass route 15 is installed in an upside route 7 which is a part of a circulation route of an atmospheric gas; a cooler 16 is placed in the bypass route 15; first and second changeover plates 17a, 17b are installed as route changeover means for changing over from the circulation route to the bypass route and vice versa; and an air jacket 19 for cooling is set on the inner surface of the side wall 1b of the oven. Weld cracking etc. are prevented by relatively slowly conducting cooling by means of the air jacket 19 in a high-temperature range tending to cause weld cracking etc. and by rapidly conducting cooling by means of the cooler 16 in a low-temperature range hardly tending to cause weld cracking etc. Heat loss is eliminated by closing the bypass route 15 so that the atmospheric gas does not pass through the cooler 16.
