Abstract:
To increase the cohesion of ink in an ink application sub-system for a variable data digital lithography sub-system.
An ink application subsystem 46 includes forming rollers 46a, 46b that are disposed so as to receive inks on their surfaces and to supply the inks from an ink reservoir to a reimageable surface of a variable data digital lithography system; and a heating element 59 disposed in the vicinity of the forming rollers 46a, 46b so as to preferentially provide the heating of the forming rollers 46a, 46b at points of ink application executed by the forming rollers 46a, 46b on the reimageable surface.
