PURPOSE: To provide a titled heater coil which improves deformation resistance and Al corrosion resistance and extends the service life thereof by forming W which is a blank material into a recrystallized structure.

CONSTITUTION: The W which is the blank material for the heater coil for vapor deposition to be used for vapor deposition of the metal back, particularly vapor deposition of Al, on the fluorescent surface of a cathode ray tube panel is subjected to about 1,800°C×70min treatment, etc. in an H2 atm. furnace and is thus made into the recrystallized structure. The residual stress to be generated in the stage of manufacturing the heater coil is thus relieved by which the deformation resistance is improved. In addition, the coarser crystal grains are formed, by which the Al corrosion resistance is improved and the deformation and the decrease in the strand diameter to determine the life of the heater for vapor deposition are lessened. The heater coil for vapor deposition having a long life is thus obtd.
