PURPOSE: To conduct appropriate heating cooking even after a matter to be cooked is set on a mount table for a long time, in a heating cooking appliance wherein the heat cooking is controlled on the basis of a detection signal from a weight sensor.
CONSTITUTION: With the transfer to a subroutine of interruption, a control means judges whether a matter to be cooked is set on a mount table or not (step P1), and in the case of 'YES', it computes the weight of the matter (step P4), while measuring the time of setting by counting the number of times of the interruption (step P2). Then, a modified value of the weight is determined by comparing the weight and the time of setting of the matter obtained in the above with data stored beforehand and the value thus determined is stored in a storage means (step P9). In a main routine, the weight of the matter is corrected on the basis of the modified value of the weight.
