Title:
HEATING ELEMENT AND EVAPORATOR USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0445802
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent environmental pollution by providing a contaminated liq. inlet close to the upper end in the heating element used as an evaporator and having an inlet for a contaminant-contg. heated vapor close to the lower end, an outlet for noncondensable gas at the upper end and a condensed water outlet at the lower end.

CONSTITUTION: A contaminant-contg. vapor introduced from an inlet 2 is allowed to flow upward in a heating element 1 as shown by the arrow A, cooled by a liq. to be heated flowing down on the outer surface of the element, condensed on the inner surface of the element and flows down on the inner surface to form a condensate film shown by the arrow B. The noncondensable gas having a lower b.p. than that of water in the heated vapor is discharged from an outlet 4. The respective components of the contaminant are equilibrated at the interface between the descending condensate film and the ascending heated vapor, and the concn. of the contaminant is decreased at the lower part of the condensate film and increased at the upper part. When the contaminated liq. from other equipment is introduced into the heating element 1 from an inlet 5, a descending condensate film is formed with the condensed water of the heated vapor, and the contaminant in the contaminated liq. is separated and removed by the ascending heated vapor A.
