Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating furnace for repeated use as a fixed-point furnace in a high temperature range at 2000°C or above.
SOLUTION: A heating furnace 1 comprises a furnace body 2, a reactor core pipe 46 provided in the furnace body 2, a melting pot 52 which is provided in the reactor core pipe 64 and radiates a radiation energy at a high temperature, and a planar heater 55 of C/C composite (carbon/carbon composite) which heats the reactor core pipe 46 to melt a high temperature material. The reactor core pipe 46 is heated with the planar heater 55 in an inert gas atmosphere. Thus, no burning out occurs after repeated use which is caused by sublimation of graphite itself that takes place in vacuum, allowing repeated use of the heater at such high temperature range as 2000°C or above.
