PURPOSE: To prevent abrupt heating to a high temperature and prevent the generation of crack, etc., in the heating of a heating object using self-combustion reaction heat as the heat source by interposing a thermal cushioning material between the heat source and the heating object.
CONSTITUTION: The heating apparatus 10 to be used in the present process is composed of a zone 14 filled with a combustion agent 12 to perform the self-combustion reaction and a heating zone 20 separated from the above combustion agent 12 by a thermal cushioning part composed of a thermal cushioning material 16. The heating apparatus 10 is put into a heating furnace 30 containing inert gas atmosphere such as Ar gas and the heating object is placed in the heating zone 20. A carbon ribbon 24 for ignition is placed on the combustion agent 12 and ignited by an arbitrary means to effect explosive self-combustion of the combustion agent 12. The heating object placed in the heating zone 20 is indirectly heated with the released heat through the thermal cushioning material 16. A ceramic material such as AlN can be soldered to a metal such as Cu at a low cost without causing the crack of the ceramic material.
