Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating operating method of steel material for continuous hot-rolling, with which an extremely low temp. heating-continuous hot-rolling process can be realized to obtain the lowering the unit requirement of the heat in a heating furnace and the improvement of productivity caused by shortening of staying time in the furnace on condition of the stable secureness of quality, at the time of heating a continuous hot-rolling steel material in the continuous walking beam type heating furnace provided with a heating zone and a soaking zone.
SOLUTION: After rapidly heating the steel material in the heating zone at 1,200-1,350°C furnace temp., the steel material is ejected at 900-1,100°C ejecting temp. by holding the condition, so that the max. value of the average temp. of the steel material becomes ≤1,100°C, for ≥30 min before ejecting, in the soaking zone at ≤1100°C furnace temp., which is characterized in the operation. In this operation the compensation of lowering of the ejecting temp. caused by a fixed skid beam and the scale generation for securing the scale-off quantity are considered.
