Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent heat-separation in a heavy-duty tire for buses or the like, by applying base tread rubber having a predetermined composition, which extends such that the thickness thereof is gradually decreased from the outer surface of each shoulder section to one end of the uppermost ply of the bet layer. CONSTITUTION:A base tread rubber 3 is arranged such that its thickness is gradually decreased from the outer surface of each shoulder section of a tire T to the associated end of the uppermost ply 2a of a belt layer 2. Further, the base tread rubber 3 is made of formed by blending therein E.P.D.M having 5 to 50wt% in in the rubber component. Further, the inner end part 3a of the base tread rubber 3 is arranged superposed on the belt layer 3a while the length TS of the outer surface of the base tread rubber 3 is set to 10 to 150% of the overall thickness TC of the tire at the equator. With this arrangement, it is possible to reduce heat-separation in the vicinity of the base rubber.
