Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for recovering a heavy metal, the method and apparatus allowing for suppression of pH reduction and allowing for recovery of an eluent containing high concentration heavy metal.SOLUTION: The method for recovering a heavy metal is provided that comprises an elution recovery step of passing an acid solution through a packed column 16 filled with an ion exchange resin having absorbed the heavy metal and elution recovering the heavy metal, the linear velocity (LV) of the liquid passage speed of the acid solution passing through the packed column 16 is in the range of 0.3 to 8 m/h and the space velocity (SV) thereof is in the range of 0.2 to 2h.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
