To facilitate height change of a thin-line hurdle and enable to hold plural hurdle races of different heights with one hurdle frame, in a hurdle frame installed in a horse race ground with a thin-line hurdle of a predetermined height at the upper part of the frame by providing a height-adjusting means for lifting the frame.
On the running ground 36 of a race track, or the like, of a horse race ground, a base 1a of concrete, or the like, is formed at the bottom of a groove 1A formed in the direction crossing a running course, and on a pole 2 standing on the base 1a, linear guide members 3 and 3A of long plates are arranged facing each other with an interval. A mounting part 4 is provided with a predetermined interval along the longitudinal direction between linear guide members 3, and a lifter (lifting means) which consists of plural link pieces 5 and a cylinder 6 and is expandable in X-form through a shaft support 5a on the mounting part 4. A thin-line hurdle 30 of a bamboo-broom form made by bundling many thin wires 30a is provided on the frame 9 lifted by the lifter along the depth direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the frame 9.
