To provide a helical antenna for improving productivity by simplifying a structure, and for contributing to reduction of manufacturing cost by using inexpensive materials as a conductor for a helical element, and a method for manufacturing this helical antenna.
For a helical antenna 100, a dielectric core 102 is shaped like a cylinder, and a spiral-shaped groove is formed on the outer peripheral face. A conductive strip 106 is formed in the groove of the dielectric core 102. A feeding conductor 108 is formed at the lower part of the dielectric core 102, and the feeding conductor 108 electrically connected with the conductive strip 106 transmits a signal between the conductive strip 106 and an outside circuit. The outside part of the dielectric core 102 and the conductive strip 106 is wrapped with an antenna cover.
