PURPOSE: To make a helicopter lighter and to simplify its mechanism by, in the helicopter having a fuselage being large oval at a sight from an upside, providing a front rotor in the front part of the fuselage and a rear rotor in the rear part of the fuselage, and making the direction of rotation opposite in both the rotors to dispense with a tail rotor.

CONSTITUTION: In a helicopter having 4 large oval fuselage 13, a cockpit 16 is provided in the front of the fuselage 13, and a passenger room 14 is provided in the central section of the fuselage 13, and they are equipped with window glasses 66. A front rotor 18 is arranged in the front of the fuselage 13, and a rear rotor 21 is arranged in the rear part of the fuselage 13. Since the front rotor 18 and the rear rotor 21 are set up to be opposite in the direction of their rotation for mutually negating their rotor torques, a tail rotor required for a single rotor type helicopter becomes unnecessary. Thus the weight of the helicopter can be reduced, and its mechanism is simplified, and an accident can be lessened, and moreover its height can be made lower.
