Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an oxime ether derivative which is useful as herbicide.
CONSTITUTION: This derivative is a compound of the formula I, for example, N,N-dimethyl-2-chloroacetophenon oxime-O-isobutylamide [where R1 is alkyl, aryl which may have substituent, hetero ring; R2 is H, lower alkyl which may have substituent, lower alkoxy, cycloalkyl, etc.; R3, R4 are each H, halo, alkyl, and R3 and R4 form carbocyclic ring with C atom; and R5 is CN, COOR7 (R7 is H, cation, etc.)]. The compound is produced by allowing the compound of formula II to react with the compound of formula III (Z is a releasable group) in the presence of a base (for example, sodium hydride) at 20-120°C in the organic solvent (for example, DMF). Wide vegetation control is completed, and selectivity is shown in soja bean, corn, rice plant, wheat. More superior activity is displayed in application in particular.
