To provide a hermetic compressor for securing a sufficient fixing force, preventing the eccentricity of an axis, and improving ease of assembly, by reducing the weight of a sub-frame with a sub bearing for supporting a drive shaft and by pressing and welding the sub-frame in a sealed vessel.

The hermetic compressor has the sealed vessel 1 having: a compression part; an electric motor driving the compression part; a main frame having a main bearing for one end side of the drive shaft of the electric motor; and the sub frame 9 having the sub bearing 10 for the other end side of the drive shaft. The sub frame is constituted of an annular bearing part 12 holding the sub bearing, a plurality of circular-arc fixing parts 13 fixed to an inner peripheral face of the sealed vessel, and radially extending leg parts 14 connecting the bearing part and the plurality of fixing parts, and the sub frame is fixed to the sealed vessel.
