PURPOSE: To carry out an efficient cooling by a method wherein cooling water of a water dispersion device is struck against a heat exchanging coil under utilization of an air flow circulated by an aeration device.
CONSTITUTION: A main body 20 of a cooling tower has at its side a surrounding air suction port 21, at its upper part an air discharging port. The suction port 21 is provided with a louver 30. The air discharging port is provided with an air blowing fan 31. Then, the louvers 30 may perform, an adjustment work in such a way that an air flow caused by the fan 31 may be passed within the main body 20 as efficient as possible. Water dispersion ports 32 are arranged along the heat exchanging coil 35 inside each of the louvers 31, and the water dispersion port 32 is directed inward in such a way that the water is discharged toward a central side of the main body 20. Water in a water receiving tank 33 passes through a header under an operation of a pump 34 and then the water is fed to each of the water dispersion ports 32. The water dispersion port 32 has a small diameter to cause water dispersion port 32 coil 35 under atomized condition, struck against the heat exchanging coil 35 together with an air flow so as to increase a heat transfer area of water droplet against the coil 35. Evaporation of water droplets adhered to the coil 35 is promoted with the discharged gas of the fan coil 31. and then a cooling efficiency is further improved.
