Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A hexose phosphoric acid ferrous salt.
EXAMPLE: Glucose-1-phosphoric acid ferrous salt.
USE: An iron-providing agent, being hardly oxidized with air and useful in improvement and prevention of anemia.
PREPARATION: (A) Hexose phosphoric acid alkaline earth metal salt (preferably barium salt) is reacted with (B) neutral or acidic ferrous salt (preferably sulfuric acid ferrous salt) preferably at a (B)/(A) molar ratio of 1W2. The reaction is carried out preferably at 10W40°C normally by dropping 1W50% water solution of the compound (B) to 0.5W10% water solution of compound (A) and mixing the compound (B) with compound (A).
