Abstract:
To produce high carbonization yield binder pitch for producing artificial graphite having high bulk density and high strengths, and to provide a method for producing the pitch.
The high carbonization yield binder pitch for artificial graphite is characterized by mixing binder pitch obtained from coal tar pitch with 0.1 to 10 wt.% of synthetic pitch originating from condensed polycyclic hydrocarbons.
