Title:
HIGH-DENSITY WOVEN FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09170175
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a high-density woven fabric excellent in durability to washing and having waterproofness by carrying out water-repellent finishing and calendering of a woven fabric obtained by weaving ultrafine fiber yarns arranged as warp and weft so as to have a specific value or above of covering factor.

A polyester ultrafine fiber multifilament yarns having ≤0.5 de single fiber fineness and used as weft and warp are woven into a high-density plain fabric having ≥2,200 sum of cover factor of warp and weft and 1:(0.7 to 1.4) ratio of warp density to weft density. Then, the woven fabric is immersed into a treating solution containing a fluorine-based water repellent and a melamine-based crosslinking agent and the fabric is squeezed by mangle and dried and heat-treated to carry out water-repellent finishing and subjected to calendering treatment at 130-190°C under 5-100kg/cm2 using a calendering machine.
