PURPOSE: To cool an inverter circuit and a magnetron, and prevent erroneous operation of a control circuit by providing on a conductive casing a conductive material guide for guiding air form a cooling fan and a partition plate for partitioning the interior of the casing.
CONSTITUTION: Air generated by a cross-flow fan 3 is directed through a guide 5 so as to cool an inverter circuit 1 and a magnetron 2. The guide 5 is formed with a conductive material such as a metal plate or a plate such as stainless including metal fibers, which divides the inside of a casing 4 to a plurality of spaces. The guide 5 serves as a partition plate for defining a guide for directing air and the inside of the casing 4 and forming a space not affected by leakage microwaves. A control circuit 6 for controlling a semiconductor switching element of the inverter circuit 1 and a filter circuit 9 are provided in a space located below the guide and not affected by the leakage microwave, for eliminating erroneous operation and leakage microwaves transmitted to a commercial power line external to the casing.
