Abstract:
To provide a high-frequency hot balloon catheter system capable of monitoring accurately a progress state of pulmonary vein isolation caused by ablation.SOLUTION: In a high-frequency hot balloon catheter system, an elastic balloon 6 is installed between mutually-slidable outer cylinder 2 and inner cylinder 3, and bipolar electrodes 16a, 16b are installed close to a film surface of the balloon 6, on the tip of the inner cylinder 3, and the bipolar electrodes 16a, 16b are connected to an extracorporeal inscribed electrocardiograph 41 and an electrostimulator 42 through energizing wires 43, 44. Hereby, existence of atrial capture following pulmonary vein pacing using the electrostimulator 42 is confirmed by the inscribed electrocardiograph 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
