Abstract:

To provide a high-frequency induction heating method and an apparatus thereof which are capable of uniformly heating a vertically-long heating target workpiece within an allowable time period set for a series of work processes.

A high-frequency induction heating apparatus comprises: a table 2a (2b) which holds a spiral high-frequency induction heating coil 1; workpiece mounting means 5a (5b) which mounts a workpiece 4 in the middle of the high-frequency induction heating coil 1; driving means 6a (6b) which moves the table 2a (2b) in a longitudinal direction of the high-frequency induction heating coil 1; temperature detecting means 7a which detects the temperature of the workpiece; and controlling means which controls a high-frequency power source and the driving means 6a (6b) based on selected profile data to thereby control a heating amount of the high-frequency induction heating coil 1.
