Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency sintering method for sintering a bearing alloy on a back metal, capable of shortening the length of a sintering furnace to a large extent and keeping the product quality of a sintered bearing equal to or more than that of a conventional one.
SOLUTION: This high-frequency sintering method includes the following four heating systems: (1) a preceding stage heating (heating to the temperature near the Curie point of steel) by a solenoid coil type induction heating section 8, and a subsequent stage heating (heating at a temperature higher than that of the preceding stage, by a transverse coil type induction heating section 9; (2) the preceding heating by the solenoid coil induction heating section 8, and the subsequent heating by the combination of the solenoid coil and transverse coil sections 8 and 9; (3) an integrated heating by the transverse coil section 9; and (4) an integrated heating by the combination of the solenoid coil and transverse coil sections 8 and 9.
