Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high grade sintered agglomerate having excellent quality in which the internal layer is essentially consisting of iron oxide and porous, and the external layer is formed with a bonding phase strengthened and secured mainly with calcium ferrite.
SOLUTION: The residual nuclear part 28 of the internal layer is formed with porous hematite, porous magnetite, small quantities of calcium silicate based slag and calcium ferrite, and the bonding phase 29 of the external layer is formed with a solidified phase of calcium ferrite and a small quantity of olivine based molten slag. For this purpose, the raw materials are blended so that the basicity of pseudo-grains 17 is controlled to 0.3 to 0.9 in the nuclear part 10, and to 1.5 to 4.5 in the external layer part 27. In the added total solid fuel and CaO content, respectively, ≤20% and ≤10% are added to the nuclear part, and the balance and balance thereof are added to the external layer part 27 respectively. The basicity of the sintered cake is controlled to 1.5 to 2.0, and SiO2≤4.8%, T.Fe≥58% and MgO=0.5 to 2.0% are satisfied. Stable blast furnace operation of low slag ratio and low fuel ratio in which a large quantity of pulverized coal is blown can be performed.
