Abstract:
A process for obtaining a high hydration rate sodium tripolyphosphate characterised in that: a. A solution of mono- and disodium orthophosphates is prepared with an overall molar ratio Na/P of between 1.64 and 1.70; b. A vortex-well flow is formed with a hot gaseous phase having a high amount of movement; c. The orthophosphate solution prepared in a is introduced into the said depression zone of the vortex-well flow so as to cause the dispersion and the thermal treatment of the said orthophosphate solution by the gaseous phase, so as to obtain the tripolyphosphate; d. The product obtained in c is subjected to a supplementary thermal treatment.
