Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration-damping material improved in fabricating workability and vibration-damping properties by mixing a specified binder with a powder or fibrous filler and various additives and molding the obtained mixture into a sheet. CONSTITUTION:A binder such as an asphalt or natural resin of a Fraass breaking point of 0-40 deg.C or a synthetic resin of a glass transition point of 0-40 deg.C (e.g. vinyl acetate resin) is mixed with a powdery filler (e.g. CaCO3) or a fibrous filler (e.g. carbon fiber) and various additives, etc., and the mixture is molded into a sheet.
