Abstract:

At least two air conditioning units (2) are provided. Cooled, highly-compressed air containing moisture, is fed in from the high pressure air supply (1). It is expanded to an inlet pressure corresponding with that of the pressurized hull (20), simultaneously cooling it below the water freezing point. In the hull (20) premixing units (3) are connected (73) directly and individually after the appropriate air conditioning unit to receive and mix-in flow from the cold air supply line (71). The recirculation units (4) introduce air (30) from the hull, into the premixing unit. Air is mixed in variable proportion, in accordance with the required condition and recirculation quantity. Premixed air (72) is sent to the distribution chamber (6), where it is purified and distributed via air ducts (70) and further individual mixing units (40) in the recirculation supply line (8), to which local recirculation units (5) are connected. Further proportionate mixing takes place at cabin pressure, to condition suitably for the individual cabin- and temperature zones (11), to which the air is supplied.
