Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-file high-pressure discharge lamp with a pair of electrodes 2A, 2B opposed to each other and inserted into a lamp tube 1 filled with, at least, mercury and halogen gas, being less in blackening and lower brightness even if lit on for a long time and free from gas leakage and lamp tube burst.
SOLUTION: For the high-pressure discharge lamp 10, the partial pressure of oxygen (O) in the lamp tube 1 is 2.5×10-3 Pa or less.
