Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure discharge lamp capable of sufficiently standing large current flow and having a high pressure resistant characteristic when the discharge lamp is operated.
SOLUTION: This lamp has a light emitting space surrounding part 51, a glass light emitting pipe constituted of sealing parts connecting to both the ends, a glass member 50 which is embedded at the inside of this sealing part, an external lead 57 extending to the outside from the sealing part 52, an internal lead 55 extending toward the inside of light emitting space from the sealing part 52, a collecting disk 2 which is arranged to face the end face on the light emitting space surrounding part side of the glass member 50 and is connected with the internal lead 55 and a plurality of metallic foil 5 which are extended along the longitudinal direction of the outer periphery of the glass member 50, are electrically connected with the collecting disk 2 at the one end side and are electrically connected with the external lead 57 at the other end side. The plurality of metallic foil 5 have depths of cut at the tips of the sides to be connected with the collecting disk 2 and the metallic foil 5 are bent from the root parts of these depths of cut and are connected with the collecting disk 2.
