Title:
HIGH RIGIDITY DAMPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3514586
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the damping effect of a building structure against an earthquake or the like by constituting such that a working fluid of high volume elastic coefficient is sealed in a high rigidity damper provided between 2 column/ beam frame and a brace of the building structure.
SOLUTION: A brace 3 is provided in a frame face by a column 1 and a beam 2 of a building structure and the top of the brace 3 is jointed with the beam 2 via a damper 5 between the top of the brace 3 and a bracket 4. The damper 5 is fitted such that a piston 7 can be slid airtightly in order to provide fluid chambers at the right and left of a cylinder 6. At the right of the cylinder 6 and at the left of a piston rod 8, clevises 9a and 9b are provided, the plural pairs of pressure-regulating valves 10 which are open rightward and leftward are provided, and a fluid 11 of a high volume elastic coefficient is filled in the fluid chamber. When the piston 7 moves rightward at the time of earthquake or the like, the pressure regulating valve 10 is open to thereby move the working fluid 11 to the left fluid chamber. Accordingly, a vibration damping effect is improved.
