Abstract:

To provide a method for measuring steroid having a hydroxyl group contained in traces in a living body-derived specimen by using a liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer (LC-MS).

The hydroxyl group of the steroid in the living body-derived specimen is reacted with a compound shown by an expression (I) (in the expression, R is indicative of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an allyl alkoxy group, a dialkyl amino group, a nitro group, etc., and COX is indicative of carboxylic acid or its reactive functional group) to form an ester derivative. The ester derivative acquired is measured using the LC-MS.
