Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of excavation work.
CONSTITUTION: A shield jack 34 which drives a shield main body 12 is mounted to a jack support section 60 which is designed to move longitudinal with the shield main body 12 in a relative fashion. There is installed a reaction receiving device 66 which drives forward the jack support section 60 in the rear of the jack support section 60. The reaction receiving device 66 receives the reaction from a face section through the jack support section 60 during the shielding time of the shield main body 12 by the shield jack 34. At the same time, it forces the jack support section 60 to advances when the shielding drive of the shield main body 12 by the shield jack 34 has ended.
