Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for weaving a high-quality fabric at a high speed without occurrence of fuzzing, looping or end breakage.
CONSTITUTION: In weaving at a high speed of ≥600rpm using an entangled yarn as the warp yarn, a water-soluble polymer compound exhibiting a liquid state at ordinary temperatures and having 5000 to 50000 average molecular weight, e.g. a propylene oxide/ethylene oxide copolymer is intermittently made to adhere to the weft yarn while controlling the deposit amount to 0.1 to 3wt.% based on the weight of the fiber and the weaving is carried out by using a water jet loom.
