Title:
HIGH-STRENGTH AND HIGH-MODULUS FIBER USING NON-EDIBLE PART OF EDIBLE PLANT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010281022
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a textile fiber material to be used for clothing and industry by a method with low environmental burden by using resources disposed of or incinerated without being used or resources with poor use efficiency, among carbon-neutral plant resources.

The textile fiber material, a regenerated cellulose fiber is produced by the following process: prior to squeezing sugar juice off sugar cane, the stems of the sugar cane are separated beforehand into the hard sheath (rind) and the sugar juice-containing core (pith) by a cane separator; the rind is served as the raw material and pulped by normal prescription; and the resulting intermediate product is dissolved in an N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide(NMMO) hydrate to prepare spinning dope, which is then put to dry/wet spinning.
