To provide a high strength steel sheet for heat shrink band, excellent in geomagnetic shielding property and having ≥30 kgf/mm2 yield stress (YP) while maintaining sufficient geomagnetic shielding property, and also to provide its manufacturing method.
The steel sheet for heat shrink band has a composition which consists of, by weight, 0.01-0.1% C, ≤1% Si, ≤2% Mn, ≤0.1% P, ≤0.02% S and the balance essentially Fe and in which the contents of C, Si, Mn and P satisfy inequality 60×[wt.% C]+8×[wt.% Si]+3×[wt.% Mn]+62×[wt.% P]≥10 and also has ≥15,000 non-hysteresis magnetic permeability at 0.35 Oe. This steel sheet can be obtained by subjecting a cold rolled steel sheet with the above composition to annealing at 600-800°C or further to overaging treatment at 250-500°C and then to temper rolling at ≤1.5% (including 0%) rolling rate.
