Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent deformation or crack due to a thermal load while satisfying the requirement such as a light weight or the like by adding highly ductile aluminum alloy at necessary parts with high strength aluminum alloy as a base material to construct an aluminum alloy cast component such as a cylinder head.

CONSTITUTION: When a cylinder head 1 which has a plurality of cylindrical bores 2 is manufactured as an aluminum alloy cast component, highly ductile aluminum alloy is added to necessary parts with a high strength aluminum alloy as a base material. For example, the base material contains 0.35Mg+0.4Mn- added AC4B (Al, 3.3Cu, 8.5Si, 0.35Mg, 0.4Mn, 0.45Fe) cast aluminum alloy, and AC4C (Al, 7.0Si, 0.4Mg, 0.2Mn, 0.45Fe) cast aluminum alloy is raised particularly on an exhaust valve seat 4a which becomes high temperature. In this manner, a deformation and a crack due to a thermal load can be prevented while satisfying the light weight and the improvement in the performance of an engine.
