The waste gas purifying method purifies harmful substances in an waste gas G. A dome-shaped inner cylinder 22 is inserted in an outer cylinder 21 provided on a duct 31 for discharging the waste gas G to form a double-pipe manner. An outlet of the outer cylinder 21 is closed by the inner cylinder 22, the waste gas G in the outer cylinder 21 is introduced into the inner cylinder 22 from a plurality of gas inlets 28 formed in a wall surface of the inner cylinder 22, and agitated. Atomized liquid W is sprayed into a high-speed turbulence formed by the agitation from a nozzle 23 provided on the outer cylinder 21 to bring the waste gas G into contact with the sprayed liquid.
